Geometry Dash: A Platformer (Alpha) - Archived Prototype
Attention Players: This page hosts the outdated Alpha version (Levels 1-3) of Geometry Dash: A Platformer. The developer has completed and released the FULL VERSION, which contains more levels, fixes, and polished gameplay. You are advised to play the full version for the intended experience.
About This Alpha Prototype
This project was an early experiment to translate Geometry Dash's rhythm-action into a traditional free-movement platformer. It represents a significant creative effort, built with 682 Scratch blocks and 55 custom assets, and drew inspiration from both the original game and other Scratch creators like SullyBully and ZuwQ.
Alpha Gameplay & Controls
In this prototype, you control a character with full directional movement using the [<] (left), [^] (up), and [>] (right) arrow keys. You can customize your character's appearance by pressing the [C] key to switch icons. The objective in each of the three alpha levels is guided by two simple, color-coded rules:
- Avoid RED Objects: Touching any red block or hazard will cause your character to explode and instantly return you to the level selection menu.
- Find the GREEN Goal: Successfully navigating to and touching the green block completes the level, unlocks the next one, and returns you to the menu.
Known Issues & Completion
As an alpha build, this version contained several acknowledged bugs, including a notable issue with the title screen's start functionality. The creator was fully aware of these problems and explicitly stated they would be resolved in the final release. This archival page serves as a glimpse into the development process of a creative Scratch project that later evolved into a more complete game.
