Wave 2.0 - An Endless Pen Game
Wave 2.0 presents a unique and challenging twist on the classic wave game mode popularized by Geometry Dash. This Scratch-based endless runner is a technical marvel, constructed almost entirely (99%) with the platform's pen-drawing tools, with only the thumbnail, character sprite, fade effects, and game-over screen using traditional graphics.
The game delivers a pure, high-speed test of rhythm and reflexes. You control a wave, pressing the spacebar, up arrow, or mouse click to ascend and releasing to descend through procedurally generated, tight-spaced corridors. A secret ‘Z’ key even transforms you into a mini-wave for a unique gameplay twist.
The experience is driven by a powerful soundtrack featuring tracks like Dimrain47's "At the Speed of Light," a direct tribute to the original Wave project. Three distinct difficulty tiers (Blue, Green, Red) offer scalable challenges for all skill levels.
The game encourages competition by tracking global high scores, inviting you to beat records held by notable players and claim your spot in the Hall of Fame. Wave 2.0 is more than a fan game; it's a creative homage that pushes the technical limits of its engine to deliver a fast-paced, music-synced obstacle course perfect for fans of rhythm games and precision platformers.
Note: This project credits RobTop Games for the wave concept and original death sound, and Wave Wave for the initial inspiration. The previous version is available here.
